Rosalia Viterbo M.D., FACS
Dr. Rosalia Viterbo is an Associate Professor in the department of Surgical Oncology and the Director of Robotic Surgery and Operations at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She is a board-certified academic urologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She has expertise in the treatment of urologic cancer using robotic, laparoscopic and traditional open surgical techniques. She is also instrumental in robotic policy, procedure and credentialing. Her interests are in the areas of prostate, kidney, bladder and penile cancer. Her expertise includes minimally invasive oncologic urologic surgery, complex reconstructive urinary surgery with neo-bladder, Indiana pouch and ileal conduit, along with bladder preservation. She also helps maintain the prostate and bladder database, with interest in outcomes research. She is also a member of the FCCC-Temple health IRB committee.
Dr. Viterbo completed her undergraduate and medical training at the State University of New York at Buffalo where she graduated magna cum laude with honors. She then continued her training by completing a urologic surgery residency at Temple University School of Medicine. She went on to complete a fellowship in robotic urologic oncology at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California.
Her clinical interests include the advancement of minimally invasive and robotic techniques for the treatment of cancer.
