Provide collection system staff and design engineers with evaluations for specific aspects of project design and constructions challenges from pipleline and manhole rehabilitaiton projects completed over the last five years. Lessons learned and effective practices from each project are discussed during this session.

Biography:

Ms. Hooshialsadat’s 10 years of professional experience includes preparing design computations, reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates, and project schedules for civil engineering infrastructure projects. Parastou specializes in selecting and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for municipal water resources projects, including pump station design and rehabilitation, sanitary sewer master and management planning, hydraulic modeling, sewer collection system condition assessment and rehabilitation methods including pipe and manhole rehabilitation, regulatory compliance and coordination with permitting agencies . She has a full understanding of hydrology studies, water quality management plans, and storm drain design for single- and multi-family residential land development projects.

Biography:

Shawn Nesgis, Construction Superviser at Union Sanitary District. I have worked for Union Sanitary District for 22 years in the Wastewater Operations Department, Collection Services. My experience includes ten years of performing main line cleaning, CCTV inspections, and an assortment of construction related activities, with twelve additional years supervising the Maintenance and Televising Team and the Construction Team for the department.
