A panel discussion on what it takes to create an independent book like Librarians with Spines. Each Panelist will present concerning their chapters. Other authors and the editors will be in the audience. This program is meant to catalyze librarians of color to produce more content, books and innovations. We will take questions and describe our processes. This is a diverse group of librarians and they have much to say about unique aspects of librarianship such and Hip-Hop culture and libraries, Prison Librarianship, the vitality and importance of Library Ethnic Caucuses and more, whiteness in LIS and more.
