Stefani Gomez, Ph.D., is the Information Literacy Librarian at Rohrbach Library at Kutztown University, PA. She was a 2008 ALA Doctoral Spectrum Scholar and holds a Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS) and a Ph.D. in Communication and Information and Library Science from Rutgers University, NJ. She is currently the Vice President/ President Elect of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the ACRL. Previously, she worked as a collection development and reference librarian at the Allentown Public Library, a large urban center-city public library in Pennsylvania, and as a paraprofessional in instructional support at the Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School. Throughout her career she has concentrated on under-represented populations and the consequences that socio-economics, culture, and gender can have on digital and information literacy and presents her work at international, national, and regional conferences on this topic. Her doctoral dissertation, completed at Rutgers University in 2017, under the direction of Marie L. Radford, Ph.D., is titled: Information Practices Relative to Parental Mediation and the Family Context among Puerto Rican and Dominican Teens.
