ACRL wants your help in identifying actionable steps that academic librarians can take to accelerate the transition to and build capacity for more open, inclusive, and equitable systems of scholarship.

This session offers attendees that opportunity to participate in a large-forum facilitated discussion designed to elicit feedback on the ACRL proposed research agenda, particularly to ensure that the agenda fully addresses issues of importance to librarians of color. Prior to the JCLC meeting the researchers will have sent participants either a draft of the proposed research agenda or a detailed outline of topics as developed up to that point. The goal of the session is to have JCLC membership vet and comment on that draft so that such feedback can be incorporated into the final research agenda recommendations.

 

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will have gained an overview of current state of key research topics in scholarly communications.
• Researchers will have understanding of additions or changes to be made to the draft research agenda.
• Researchers will incorporate feedback into the final version of the research agenda.
