Leadership, Management and Organizational Development
REFORMA needs to nurture and develop leaders who can lead and share the value of connecting with the community. REFORMA leaders will tell their stories. Topics will include career choices, celebrating successes, overcoming obstacles, roads to leadership, and their experiences working with the Latinx community today. Presented in a world café style, the forum is intended for LIS students, young professionals and all librarians interested in sharing ideas and thinking together in a safe environment to inspire innovation, curiosity, and exploration on community building and leadership and what does this mean for REFORMA as it approaches its 50th Anniversary. At the end, participants will reconvene for a large group discussion based on sharing out of the small group work and directions for moving forward. This forum is made possible through the IMLS grant Telling Our Stories: Community Building to Recruit and Retain Latinx to the Library Profession.
Note this forum is a closed session, only open to current REFORMA IMLS Scholarship winners and invitees.
