Spanish Computer Classes for Senior Citizens is a presentation of best practices on how to successfully facilitate computer instruction, in Spanish, to Senior Citizens at library branches where there never has been a Spanish-language computer class. The presentation will also address age-bias, and how to avoid it limiting the scope of technology material you would like to cover. In addition, participants will examine data which supports an increase in computer usage by Senior Citizens, and discuss several FREE learning websites and portals participants can use to get a Spanish-language computer class off the ground at their sites. In addition, facilitator will discuss the challenges and difficulties of forming cohorts, assigning homework, and having your patience and resources prepared for Spanish-speaking Senior Citizens that want answers to their most pressing technology questions.
