Jody (Shoemaker) Roberts, MS, CIP, CCRP is the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Research at the Mind Research Network (MRN) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She previously worked in the Department of Psychiatry at UCSD with an emphasis on neuropsychopharmacology. She has a BS in Health Sciences, an MS with an emphasis in Neurobiology, and was the site PI for an NIH research grant related to optimizing the disclosure of incidental findings. At MRN, she worked with others to develop and streamline the process of returning MRI results to research participants and has published numerous articles about the methods, ethics, stakeholder opinions and suggested guidelines for addressing incidental findings in neuroimaging research. She is a participant and contributor to the NIH working group for Incidental Findings in Neuroimaging Research, as well as an author on the resulting guidance documents. In addition to her research, she has her CCRP and CIP credentials and has served as a non-affiliated scientific reviewer for medical and social-behavioral IRBs for over 10 years.
