Scott Lipkin is a Managing Director in the research and compliance practice at Ankura Consulting. He is based in Orlando, Florida.
Scott was a member of the Medical Staff of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) for 25 years. During his tenure at LVHN, he served as Chief of Podiatric Surgery for 10 years. He obtained certification with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 1992 and has participated as Principal Investigator on 14 clinical trials related to diabetic foot wounds.
Dr. Lipkin has been involved in human subject protections for over 25 years, serving as an IRB member, IRB chair, and HRPP Director. In 2010, Scott transitioned from clinical practice to serve full time in an administrative role, taking on the position of Chief Research Officer at LVHN. As the Chief Research Officer, he was responsible for the oversight of all facets of the centralized clinical research program throughout the LVHN system.
Scott served as an AAHRPP site visitor from 2008-2014 and a member of AAHRPP's Council of Accreditation from 2010-2014. Currently, he serves on the WSD Planning Committee for PRIMR's AER conference and is a member of the CIP Accreditation Council. He teaches human subject protections at the Loyola, Chicago, School of law and volunteers as a community IRB member at a children'sc hospital.
Dr. Lipkin holds his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from Temple University and his BS in biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
