Kim London, JD, MPH, is Deputy Regulatory Affairs, for United States Air Force, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Ohio. In this capacity, since 2011, Ms. London develops and implements policy for the legal and ethical conduct of human and biological research, and manages the research regulatory affairs for a multi-billion dollar global aerospace science and technology research enterprise. Ms. London serves as the Chairman of the Air Force’s largest and most diverse Institutional Review Board. She also serves as ethical thought leader and regulatory subject matter expert consultant for a multitude of Air Force and Department of Defense policy and regulatory initiatives on emerging technologies and methodologies. She is the recipient of the prestigious Air Force Civilian Achievement Award for her landmark work in advancing ethical policies for military genomics research. Prior to joining AFRL, Ms. London retired from active duty after a 22 year military career, including work in intelligence, operational and military law, medical law, bioethics, and privacy.
