Debbie Hill, CVPM, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CCFP is the hospital administrator for 4 veterinary hospitals owned by a veterinarian in Florida. She entered the profession in 1989 at the front desk of a one doctor practice in Denver and has worked with 9 hospitals with from 4-45 employees in 3 states, many simultaneously in a multiple practice setting.

In addition to this experience, her training includes AAHA's VMDS, VMI and attends several veterinary conferences each year to stay current on management in our profession. After several years of indecision, taking Marketing 101 at the local college proved to be the turning point in her decision to pursue certification in veterinary practice management. While her hospitals grew, she continued college and management conferences and received her CVPM in 2005.

Debbie has worked as an adjunct instructor for Patterson Management University since 2008. The Certified Veterinary Practice Manager enjoys meeting and sharing with managers and has spoken at Veterinary Hospital Managers Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, Wild West Veterinary Conference and Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference.

In 2011, Debbie took the exam and acquired her PHR (Professional in Human Resource), a certification that deals with all aspects of human resource. She also speaks to local manager groups around the country and consults with several practices each year to improve their systems, productivity and financial success. In addition, she has produced and presented several webinars on human resource and financial topics.

Realizing that she has been privileged with a wealth of exposure to management experience and education, Debbie has a strong desire to share with others.
