Antivenom is the definitive treatment for most envenomations. Recently, we have seen new antivenom products compete for use in the treatment of snake envenomation. This lecture will focus on the antivenoms available for use against pit vipers in North America. We will discuss crotalidae polyvalent (ACP) equine origin whole IgG, Crofab® ovine origin crotalidae polyvalent immune F(ab)1, Antivipmyn® equine origin F(ab’)2, Venomvet™ equine origin F(ab’)2, and PoliVet-ICP® equine origin polyspecific antivenom, and Rattler Antivenin™, Crotalidae, Polyvalent, Equine Origin.
