Exotics and Small Mammals
6th Annual Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference
Chickens are making the move from the barn to the backyard. The increasing population of backyard poultry represents a growing patient base for the avian/exotic pet practitioner. They occupy a nebulous niche at the intersection of pet and production animal. Topics to be covered include anatomic and physiologic variations from common psittacine patients, common clinical presentations, diagnostic and therapeutic measures, as well as regulatory components of poultry practice.
