Although mast cell tumors (MCT) are the most common cutaneous tumor in dogs, accounting for 16 to 21 percent of skin tumors, the clinical approach to staging and therapy can be challenging. This case-based discussion will focus on a practical approach to challenging MCT case presentations. Utilization of newer diagnostic options and treatment strategies will be integrated into the discussion with a focus on take-home strategies for your practice.
