Glaucoma in our veterinary patients is often a devastating and exhausting disease that eventually leads to discomfort and blindness. Early recognition, understanding how it manifests, and knowing what drug therapies are appropriate will significantly improve your management outcome. We will review current medical treatments and management protocols, in addition to surgical intervention (gonioimplants and laser cyclophotocoagulation). Aggressive treatment and careful monitoring can provide many of these patients extended comfortable, sighted years.
