This session will discuss the potential cardiovascular effects of various different types of adrenal and gonadal steroids. Specifically, we will discuss potential cardiac implications of mineralocorticoid supplementation for Addison's disease, glucocorticoid therapy (injectable versus oral), and estrus and pregnancy, and the phenomenon of "steroid-associated heart failure."
