Dr. Ibrahim is currently Associate Professor of Endodontics, Marquette University School of Dentistry. Received BDS, MS from Mansoura university, Egypt. In 2006, he joined the Endodontic Division in the Policlinic for Operative Dentistry and Periodontology at Cologne University, Germany where he studied his PhD in a joint supervision program between Mansoura and Cologne Universities. He also got a Doctor Med Dent in Endodontics from Cologne University in 2010 entitled “The influence of different passive irrigation techniques on root canal cleanliness”. His main scientific interests are the hydrodynamic disinfection, and the efficacy of antimicrobial regimes. He is the author of Biocompatibility of dental biomaterials in Biomaterials for Oral and Dental Tissue Engineering (1st ed), Elsevier, USA.He is currently involved in studies developing injectable gels to improve the antibacterial properties.
