An estimated 25% of the population has experienced some form of oral and facial pain. The diversity of the numerous structures and their complex innervations is at least partially responsible for the sometimes puzzling symptoms these patients present with. This workshop will introduce the participants to the classifications of these pain presentations in order to facilitate an accurate diagnosis and ultimately guide the clinician to appropriate care. The workshop will include case presentations for the participants to solve in groups as well as demonstrations of clinical assessment techniques.
