Director of Collections Access and Senior Registrar
Melissa is the Director of Collections Access and Senior Registrar for History Colorado and works to augment and improve access and use of the collection through digital projects, database integration and discoverability, and other innovative access points to the collection. She has a Master's degree in Anthropology with a Museum Studies concentration. She has worked in museums for 20 years and has a variety of collections experience from anthropology, art, natural history, and history museums. Focusing on Registration work, she has leadership experience with collections management, database administration, move planning and implementation, exhibit work, and other collections initiatives. She has presented at national and regional conferences such as AAM, AASLH, MPMA, and AMM on collections moves, database access and discovery, and innovative collections use in exhibits.
