Lynnette Werning, APR, is the founder and president of Blue Water Communications, a boutique PR firm that specializes in museums, architecture, performing arts and destinations. Blue Water has offices in Florida and Illinois and clients throughout the United States including: Art Bridges, Chazen Museum of Art, Columbus Museum of Art, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, Fralin Museum of Art, Grand Rapids Art Museum, Princeton University Art Museum, The Ringling, Taft Museum of Art, Toledo Museum of Art and University of Michigan Museum of Art.
Prior to launching Blue Water Communications in 2006, Lynnette wore many hats as vice president and account supervisor for public relations and marketing firms. She’s also served as communications manager for the Toledo Museum of Art, managing director for the Toledo Ballet Association and assistant director at WTOL-TV.
Lynnette earned accreditation from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), an achievement earned by only 5% of public relations practitioners. Lynnette was honored by her alma mater, the University of Toledo, as the Outstanding Communications Alumna for 2012. She served as treasurer of Women & Philanthropy at the University of Toledo and is past president of the Northwest Ohio chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Currently she is the vice president of PR Boutiques International.
