Exhibit Designer and Production Manager
Carnegie Museum of Natural History
Jaron has been working as an exhibit developer and designer for more than seven years, and is currently the Exhibit Designer & Production Manager at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Throughout his career, he has worked for both design firms and museums on exhibits in art galleries, military and natural history museums, and historic houses. On nearly all of these exhibits he has been the only person of color involved with the project. This has pushed him to become an active advocate for greater diversity and inclusion, both among the people that create exhibits and the stories and people that are included in exhibits. Additionally, he has participated in iPAGE, the Science Museum of Minnesota’s leadership program dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion and access in informal STEM institutions and serves as a member of Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh’s Diversity Taskforce. As a member of this group, he regularly engages with issues of diversity and inclusion, and advises museums on how to continue pushing towards greater equity.
