Kathy Sklar is the Business Program Manager at the National Museum of American History. She is responsible for all revenue-generating activities, and coordinates the efforts of Smithsonian Enterprises and the museum. She works to maximize earnings from the food service, retail, licensing and concession businesses. Kathy is a strong advocate for and collaborator on the After Hours, Food History and Holiday Festival programs and events. She is also involved with exhibit development, public programs and visitor services. Kathy’s career at the Smithsonian began at the Natural History Museum. Prior to that she had a varied marketing and business development career in the private sector. She earned a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard University.
