The Historic New Orleans Collection
Joseph Shores is a Preparator at the Historic New Orleans Collection. He works closely with the collections management team to create exhibition mounts and storage housings for a variety of media from fine and decorative arts to library and manuscript items. Joseph earned his BFA in Studio Art from the University of Minnesota -Duluth, his MFA in Visual Art from SUNY-UB, and a Tamarind Professional Printer Certificate from the Tamarind Institute at the University of New Mexico. He has worked professionally for a variety of museums including the Tweed Museum of Art, The Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, the LSU Art Museum, and the Historic New Orleans Collection. He also maintains a fine art printmaking practice, and leads workshops in traditional lithographic techniques in the US, UK and Ireland.
