Museum Educator and Exhibit and Interpretive Planner
Shaelyn Amaio has been a public experience advocate since her days operating rides at Lake Compounce Amusement Park in Bristol, CT. She is currently putting her experience in museum education, project management, and exhibition development to work as a museum educator and exhibit & interpretive planner at Connecticut Landmarks, a state-wide network of eleven significant historic properties that span four centuries of New England history. She builds on her experiences at museums, consulting agencies, and design firms in the Northeast and the Deep South, most recently as a producer of public programs and community engagement at the New York Transit Museum. She holds degrees in museum anthropology, museum education, and cultural anthropology.
