Barbara Engelskirchen oversees all fundraising and marketing efforts for the National Museum of Mexican Art. Since joining the Museum in 2014, Barbara has sought to strengthen the Museums’ fundraising structure, developing strategies to diversify funding and focus more aggressively on individual giving. She earned a Bachelor of Education from Purdue University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. She brings to the National Museum of Mexican Art a breadth of experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, and education, built from her experience working for both corporations and nonprofit organizations alike. Barbara is proud to have survived being a 5th grade teacher in a bilingual classroom, to have completed the Getty Leadership Institute and to have been selected to serve as a trustee for Enrich Chicago.
