Leila has over a decade of experience in informal museum education and science communication having developed, evaluated, trained staff and volunteers, and executed programming for institutions in Chicago and New York. Prior to her current position at the Museum of Science and Industry, Leila worked at the Adler Planetarium and the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago. Her work focuses on making science accessible to school and family audiences by employing facilitation methods that cater to auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners. Leila holds a BA in Physics and Astronomy from Bard College and an MA in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Chicago.
