Acting Program Director for Art Education
Susan McCullough holds a doctorate in Urban Education from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She has taught at Hunter College, CUNY, City College, CUNY and Brown University. Recently, Susan was an Evaluation and Research Fellow in the Education Department at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Her research interests include art teachers and socially engaged teaching practice, art museum education, gender and public schooling, and teacher identity development. She has published in a variety of journals including Gender and Education, Girlhood Studies and Journal of Museum Education. Susan has worked in art museum education for 20 years at different institutions including the Brooklyn Museum, MoMA and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
