Docent Council Coordinator
Los Angeles County Museum of Art
Emily has a B.A. in History and Television-Radio-Film from Syracuse University, and an M.A. in Museology from the University of Washington with a focus on museum education and museum evaluation. Before attending graduate school, she worked in the entertainment industry for four years and volunteered at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, an experience that helped her realize that museums were great places to tell stories! After graduate school, Emily worked at the Institute for Learning Innovation and Randi Korn & Associates, Inc, as an evaluation consultant for four years. She has held her role as Docent Council Coordinator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) since 2015, where she oversees all of the museum’s docents and is responsible for planning and day-to-day operation of LACMA’s school tour program. She also works with Education staff to evaluate interpretive strategies and build evaluation capacity in the Education department. Emily has served on the CARE Board since 2014.
