Vice President of Programs & Operations
National Liberty Museum
Kevin Orangers has served the National Liberty Museum for the past ten years on its executive team as Vice President of Programs & Operations. Prior to joining the National Liberty Museum (NLM) in 2008, Kevin curated and directed the American Museum of Natural History’s mobile outreach initiative called the Moveable Museum and has nearly 25 years of experience in museum exhibit design, program and curriculum development, and community outreach. Kevin currently directs all National Liberty Museum daily operations and programming. He was responsible for spearheading the NLM’s signature educational initiative called the Young Heroes Outreach Program, an innovative civic & character leadership program in year-long residencies in over 18 Philadelphia, PA and regional schools that empowers middle school students to be "up-standers" who work together to identify and resolve real life challenges in their communities. Additionally, Kevin has launched and facilitated a one-of-a-kind professional development suite of museum-based programming that focuses on diversity, equity & inclusion training as well as leadership development and team building programs for corporate, non-profit, and higher learning clients. Kevin’s continued passion for this work comes from his diverse opportunities with unorthodox, atypical "concept" museums that merge both "hi-fi" and "low-fi" design elements and immersive programming that engages the head, heart and hands.
