New York Hall of Science
Laycca has a B.S. in Childhood Education/Psychology and a M.S. in TESOL from CUNY City College. She is currently a Researcher and Coordinator at the New York Hall of Science. She has been engaged with formal and informal learning institutions since 2012. Her passions are building more diversity in the museum fields workforce, developing inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for underrepresented populations, using research to inform the development of innovative learning tools, and managing donor relationships and funding streams. By leading initiatives surrounding this work, she hopes to affect positive change in industry-wide hiring practices, bridge the gap between the playful museum experience and traditional classroom learning, and support the growth of her institution's goals and initiatives.
