Dr. Abraham is Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Mayo Clinic, Arizona. She is cross-appointed in the Division of Health Care Policy and Research, Department of Health Sciences Resesarch, at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, and serves as the Director for Health Care Delivery Research, Samuel and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Healthcare Delivery. Dr. Abraham's clinical practice and research is focused on the epidemiology and prevention of adverse GI events among cardiac and elderly patients prescribed complex antithrombotic therapy (ASA, NSAID, anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs). At the Mayo Clinic CardioGI clinic in Arizona, she works together with cardiologists and hematologists to promote risk-minimization and ensure a collaborative model of care for cardiac patients. Her resesarch is funded by federal and non-federal sources, Dr. Abraham served as a Trustee of the American College of Gastroenterology from 2009-2015.
