Dr. Yachimski joined the faculty at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2009, where he currently serves as Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Pancreatobiliary Endoscopy.
After receiving his M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 2002, Dr. Yachimski completed his internship, residency in internal medicine, and gastroenterology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Yachimski received his M.P.H. from Harvard School of Public Health in 2008. He completed the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital in 2009.
He has been active as a committee member for gastroenterology societies, and has been an invited speaker at numerous regional, national, and international gastroenterology meetings.
His current research interests include endosocpic management of pancreatic necrosis, endoscopic management of pancreatic cancer, and investigation of the neurocognitive effects of interventional endoscopy procedures and procedural sedation.
