Director of Marketing
Diane Baker is the Director of Marketing for Austin Gastroenterology. In her ten years marketing large specialty practices, she has developed two marketing departments from the ground up, the first in Urology, and now in GI with Austin Gastro. Diane has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience from creating and managing marketing campaigns that include Referring Physician Outreach, Direct to Consumer Advertising, Social Media, Public Relations and Community Outreach. Diane is a born networker and credits much of her success to her valued relationships with her counterparts and leadership in other medical practices and hospitals, and her contacts in the vendor community that service the healthcare industry. Diane is always exploring new ways to market her practice, and this pursuit continually challenges her to develop new sets of skills to reach an ever changing audience of consumers. Her current passion in this regard lies in the area of utilizing video on social media to brand the practice as a whole, and to develop the individual practices of the physicians in her group.
Prior to her career in healthcare marketing, Diane spent 15 years selling software and IT consulting services. This is where she developed a strong affinity for start-up organizations and a love for utilizing innovative technologies, both of which have been critical to launching successful marketing programs.
