Jessica Brown, PhD, CCC-SLP is an assistant professor in the Department of Speech Language & Hearing Sciences at the University or Arizona and director of the Cognitive Communication Brain Lab. She serves as the membership committee chair for the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences and am an Executive Board Member for the Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona. She is on the mild traumatic brain injury working group for the American Congress of Rehabilitative Medicine and serves as a Coordinating Committee Member for the American Speech Language hearing Association Special Interest Group 2. In 2018, she received an Early Career Poster award designation from the American Congress of Rehabilitative Medicine. Her clinical, research, and teaching interests focus on developing ecologically-valid assessments, creating Return-to-Learn practices, evaluating augmentative supports and strategies, and examining visual and cognitive abilities to improve functional outcomes for individuals with traumatic brain injury, concussion, and stroke across the lifespan.
