Joyce Maring is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Health, Human Function, and Rehabilitation Science at The George Washington University. She is a physical therapist with significant practice experience with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). She is involved in research related to identifying and ameliorating risks for adverse outcomes such as falls in persons with IDD as well as other vulnerable populations. She has multiple publications and both internal and external funding related to her scholarship. Her teaching expertise includes neuroscience for rehabilitation as well motor control and learning across the lifespan.
