Lisa Mustone Alexander is a professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is an accomplished educator, administrator and researcher.
Her teaching expertise includes adult primary care, health equity issues, especially related to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and the global health workforce. She has published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals on topics related to cardiovascular medicine, trends in PA education, and global expansion of non-physician clinicians. Intra and extramural funding has focused on increasing access to primary care for adults with IDD and enhancing inter-professional education for health professional students.
