Those TBI veterans who suffer from chronic conditions, such as headaches, chronic pain, sleep difficulties, memory impairment, and PTSD have poor quality of life and consume a significant amount of health care resources. Their satisfaction rate of the conventional care model is low. In this population, an integrative medicine care model has been demonstrated to be feasible and successful. At this symposium, I would like to introduce the integrative medicine care model and some evidence based modalities used to treat TBI veterans with chronic conditions, followed by some case presentation.
