Julie L. Watson, PhD, OTR/L joined Bay Path University in 2017 as Program Coordinator and Associate Professor for the post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate program. She also serves as the Scholarly Mentor for the Brooks Institute of Higher Learning Occupational Therapy Neurologic Fellowship Program. Dr. Watson has been involved with the Florida Occupational Therapy Association for over 10 years as the North East Florida Regional Representative. Research interests include caregiving, evidence-based interventions for stroke survivors, and student centered learning. She has presented research at the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals, American Occupational Therapy Association, AOTA Education Summit, Assistive Technology Industry Association, Florida Occupational Therapy Association, and Western Association of Colleges professional conferences. Dr. Watson volunteers as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Wildflower Healthcare, a free clinic in St. Johns County, FL and chairs an annual charity fundraiser, Wear It More Than Once for Charity, for the Betty Griffin Center, a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
