Dr. Ettenhofer is a neuropsychologist and Director of Research Operations for the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) at Naval Medical Center San Diego. He also holds faculty appointments at the University of California, San Diego, the VA San Diego Healthcare System, and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Ettenhofer completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Michigan State University, along with a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. He has served as Principal Investigator on multiple federally-funded studies focused upon the development and validation of novel technologies for assessment and rehabilitation of traumatic brain injury. His work has been published in leading journals in neuropsychology, psychiatry, and neurology. Dr. Ettenhofer’s research is supported by DVBIC, the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program, and the Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine.
