This presentation will share our experience in how a research team and clinicians identified an important topic of interest shared by all stakeholders then collaborated on designing and implementing a RCT. The presentation will report findings from a 4-arm RCT that examined the efficacy of three innovative warm-up approaches vs. usual care. These included a body weight-adjustable treadmill and a device that used patterned electrical neuromuscular stimulation, for TKA rehabilitation across 15 outpatient clinics within a single regional health system in the DC region. We will also share clinical and policy implications stemming from the study results.
