Traumatic brain injury (TBI) leads to significant disability due to both physical and cognitive impairments. Those with TBI frequently utilize social services due to their disabilities; however, key community-based service providers involved with mental health, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, intimate partner violence, law enforcement, and more lack education on TBI. This leads to frustration in navigation of community resources for those with TBI and their caregivers. We developed TBI education targeting law enforcement professionals, intimate partner violence professionals, and other community-based professionals. In this symposium, we will discuss TBI education program development for these key community-based professionals.
