Basil Eldadah, MD, PhD is Chief of the Geriatrics Branch in the Division of Geriatrics and Clinical Gerontology at the National Institute on Aging (NIA). He oversees the Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Centers (OAICs), NIA’s centers of excellence in geriatrics research and research training. He also oversees translational and clinical aging research on topics including palliative care, pain, fatigability, HIV, and resilience. He has co-led with Sandra Mitchell of NCI initiatives to develop measures of fatigability in older adults and cancer populations.
