Dr. Berndl is the Director of the Accessible Care Pregnancy Clinic which provides preconceptual counselling, antenatal and birth care specifically for women with physical disabilities. She is an Associate scientist for the Evaluative Clinical Sciences, Women & Babies Research Program at the Sunnybrook Research Institute. Her research focuses on pregnancy outcomes and experiences among women with physical disabilities. She is the PI of the Spinal Cord Injury and Urogenital Health in Pregnancy registry funded by the Ontario Neurotrauma foundation, and PI of the Patient–Oriented Study on Pregnancy in Myasthenia Gravis funded by the New Initiatives grant from the department of Neurology at University of Toronto.
