2019 ACVS Surgery Summit
This seminar focuses on recent clinical advances in anesthesia and pain management and its incorporation into routine practice. To progress in the field of veterinary pain management, it's important that we evaluate not only the veterinarians' ability to identify, assess, and manage pain, but the pet-owners ability as well. Despite the limitations in opioid availability, recent advances in locoregional techniques and alternative uses of conventional analgesics have improved our effectiveness in providing adequate analgesia. These topics will be discussed in addition to the recent advancements made in anesthesia recovery quality.
