Hotel Reservations/Housing: Convention Management Resources, Inc (CMR) is the official housing company for the AHCA/NCAL 70th Convention & Expo. No other company is authorized to provide attendees housing in our hotels. In order to secure your housing, you must first be registered for the Convention & Expo. When you register online, you may also secure housing at the same time. Staying within the official AHCA/NCAL housing block will result in registration fees that are discounted by $100, some exclusions apply. If attendees book housing in the official AHCA/NCAL housing block and later cancel their reservation, the additional $100 registration fee w
\/ill automatically be charged.
Registration: If you are an administrator you must have a NAB Registry ID to register for convention. On-site registration opens at 6:30am on Sunday, October 13. Badges are required to gain access to all sessions and the Expo Hall, so plan ahead and avoid the lines.
Convention Programming: Main convention programming begins on Sunday, October 13 at 1:00pm with a variety of Intensive sessions designed to give you a deep dive into the topics. Sunday also features two separate ticketed education events - NCAL Day and Rehabilitation Therapy Day. If you are interested in attending these events, please be sure you add them to your registration.
Session Seating: AHCA/NCAL does not pre-register for individual sessions. We try very hard to ensure there is a seat for anyone interested in attending a session and we max out the number of seats in each room. However, there will be times when a session will run out of available seats. In the event a session becomes full, attendees will be directed to one of two overflow rooms. It is also helpful to choose an alternate session selection, just in case. Session Scanning: AHCA/NCAL uses RFID to track session attendance. There will not be scanners at the door. Please have your badge visible (not tucked into your bags or pockets), and your badge will be read each time you enter or exit a session.
Pack for Comfort: The weather in Orlando is expected to be in the mid-80s during the day and in the low-60s in evenings. Session rooms can range from chilly to warm, and adjusting room temperatures takes time. Please pack layers to be ready for any temperature.
Credit/Contact Hour Reporting: AHCA/NCAL will need 30 days to compile and process all scan data. Once the data is compiled, all attendees will be e-mailed a CE certificate to the e-mail address used at registration. Certificate questions should be directed to Adrienne Riaz-Khan. Session attendance for administrators will be reported to NAB using their NAB Registry ID. Nursing hours will be reported to ANCC. All other professions will need to self-report attendance. If you are self-reporting, please contact Adrienne Riaz-Khan for supporting documentation.
Coffee: AHCA/NCAL does not provide coffee breaks. Coffee is available in most hotel rooms, hotel lobbies, local coffee shops, and in coffee carts throughout the convention center. We have made the choice to steward financial resources toward stronger programming and providing lunch in the Expo Hall on Monday and Tuesday.
Lunch/Food: For your convenience, AHCA/NCAL provides lunch to all attendees on Monday and Tuesday inside the Expo Hall. Additionally, you may also enjoy a selection of great foods at the AHCA/NCAL Welcome Reception.
Water: Water stations are available throughout the convention center space. Be sure to pack a water bottle and stay hydrated throughout your stay in Orlando.
Shuttle/Walking: AHCA/NCAL will provide shuttle service to and from selected convention hotels. However, some hotels are within walking distance to the convention center. Be sure to pack comfortable shoes as you may choose to walk and discover the scenic views along the way.
