A lifelong activist for creating healing environments for residents, patients, families and the entire healthcare team, Wendy Leebov works with long-term care, hospitals, health systems and medical practices to achieve breakthroughs in the patient and family experience.
Leebov is Senior Vice President of Language of Caring, a Branch of Planetree International. Before that, Wendy was Founder and Partner of Language of Caring, LLC and Vice President and change coach for the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia where she worked for 20 years.
A communication fanatic, Wendy has written 12 books on the patient and resident experience. She also developed the programs --Communicating Empathy: The Heart-Head-Heart Method, the Language of Caring for Staff, and the Language of Caring for Physicians programs.
Wendy earned her Doctorate and Master’s degrees from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Oberlin College. Wendy is a breast-cancer survivor and has been a watchful and engaged family member through the prolonged, life-threatening illnesses of her sister, mother, and friends.
