The new Medicare SNF PPS patient driven payment model (PDPM) is based on resident characteristics reported on SNF PPS minimum data set assessments. One characteristic that now has a more significant impact as a result is the need for and delivery of restorative nursing services. This session will discuss the how PDPM-related policy changes may motivate providers to enhance existing restorative nursing programs for Medicare Part A residents or implement new ones.
