Annual Conference Session
Self-care is a popular buzzword, but for folks of color it is often a method to preserve and replenish time, energy, and space in order to survive and thrive. Panelists will discuss various strategies of self-care and collective care, including the use of time management and boundary-setting, in their professional and personal lives. This session will empower Scholars to recognize the importance of prioritizing self-care and provide a dedicated space to explore this topic as part of the Institute curriculum prior to engaging with the remainder of the Institute/conference. Note this Spectrum Institute event is open only to current Spectrum Scholars, and invited alumni and guests.
