Ediciones Ekaré publishes books for children and young adults. The name Ekaré was borrowed from the Pemon language, an ethnic group from southeastern Venezuela. The word means news or true narration, and in a broader context, it means, story. Ediciones Ekaré was created in Caracas in 1978 and its main goal, to publish quality children's books, mainly from Latin American authors. Our books reach many countries, but the early intention remains: to offer quality books about our own culture.
