This poster will provide lessons learned from a new, library-led collaborative event with a campus partners joining from:
Library Subject and Peer Liaisons
The Writing Center
The Learning Resources Center
This start of term "pre-stress" collaboration provided an opportunity for students fresh from finals to plan for a successful spring semester and to connect with essential campus expertise through a coordinated effort to provide consultations, advising, and referrals in one convenient location. Strategically staged in the central campus Info Commons, students were encouraged to drop-in with their planners and syllabi to identify courses, assignments, and time periods in the semester to schedule academic and wellness support in advance of midterms and the end of the year. A "map" worksheet with participating center highlights was provided for students to guide participation and campus partners were invited to enjoy cookies, coco, and conversation with more than 60 attendees. This co-sponsored event also offered a pilot meditation workshop for students in the library, "sleep hygiene" awareness, and other wellness tips at the beginning of the semester when students need it most.
